Morning all....how are you today?

I'm back to share some more fun I've had with the bright and beautiful Cosmo Cricket DeLovely range. Any cards you make with these are sure to brighten someones day!

I've used a range of the DeLovely Patterned Papers, DeLovely Elements, DeLovely Stickers, Cosmo Tiny Type Alpha in pink, trim from my stash and a few different border punches.

I based my 3 cards on this sketch from Page Maps....

I say "based" because you will notice that each card uses the sketch but from a different angle....after all that's what sketches are all about....a jumping off point:-)

I hope my cards will add a bit of sunshine to your day....

 

 
  

Jungle Bug Birthday Cards

Hey there..I hope you're having a great day:-)

Just popping in to share a couple of cards I've had fun creating with Kaisercraft's Jungle Bug range...perfect for boy cards.

Playing with the papers Dirt Trail and Beetle Bug and the adorable Jungle Bug Clear Stamps I created 2 cards very loosely based on this Becky Fleck sketch from Page Maps...

....basically I started out with the sketch and the cards then took on a life of their own lol...the papers are so much fun to cut images from and play around with the cards fell together very easily.  

  Creating the perfect sentiment was easy on the computer using the font Acoustic Bass.

My second card would work well for a belated birthday wish....

Such bright fun colours for the bug loving birthday boys in your life:-)

This weeks sketch......

Hi Girls, hope you are all great and for those of you heading to the Escape this weekend I'm sure you are very excited, Sasha and the team have a great weekend planned for you with some fabbo classes.  Enjoy.

My sketch project this week i was lucky enough to use the October Afternoon range - Fly A Kite - this is my dear friend Jen and I's favourite companies, maybe that was a bit exaggerated because i am in love with the new Fancy Pants range now as well........a true addict.

I enjoyed using the sticker sheet and making the most of it, it was all so cute and perfect for park photographs or really any outdoor shots.  (no laughing at my sketch but i couldnt resist drawing the stick figures...lol)

Beautiful Bayberry Cottage

Hey there....I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Just popping in this morning to share another wonderful sketch from Page Maps and a couple of cards to go with it....here's the sketch....

...love the patterned layers and the scalloped edges.

I had lots of fun playing with  Pink Paislee's new Bayberry Cottage line....check it out....

   ...the patterned papers are so gorgeous - classy patterns and a rich, luxurious colour scheme. Such classy products lent themselves well to more formal cards so I created both a wedding and a congratulations card....

The 6x6 Bayberry Cottage Paper Pad and the matching punchouts were all I needed to layer together the pieces for these cards. Here's a closer look to help with the details....

the card base is 15cm x 10.5cm and the centre patterned piece is 10.5cm x 6cm. Extra details include a Basic Grey beaded flower and a rub-on sentiment from my favourite Kaisercraft Rub-Ons set.

 
On the wedding card I've used a Prima flower and stamps from an Inkadinkado set along with the Bayberry Cottage goodies.

Kaisercraft Gypsy Sisters

Hi there...I hope you had a great weekend!

Just popping in to share a card sketch and two cards using Kaisercraft's stunning Gypsy Sisters range...wow, are the colours in this range ever beautiful together!

Here is the card sketch, from the latest over at Becky Fleck's Page Maps....

....and here are my cards.....

It was a very easy sketch to follow and allowed for some stitching detail around the edge and the inclusion of some gorgeous pieces from the matching Gypsy Sisters accessories - namely the Die Cut Elements and the pretty Embellishment Pack.

Patterned papers used were Esmeralda, Nadia and Rosa.

Each card is 12cm x 12cm and the inner layer is 8.5 cm x 8.5cm and has its corners rounded.

Other items used, apart from those already mentioned, were the Fiskars Threading Water Punch and Kaisercraft Birthday Rub-Ons (love these Rub-Ons...they have been so handy for my cards), plus the Kaisercraft Pearls in Teal, Plum and Hot Pink - perfect colours to coordinate with the Gypsy Sisters papers. 

I'm glad that I've still got lots of goodies left to make plenty more with these beautiful items....they were lots of fun to play with and the cards will no doubt brighten someone's day.

Basic Grey Origins Cards

Hi there...Linda here to start the week off with a great sketch from Page Maps and a couple of cards using the fabulous Basic Grey Origins range.

Here's the sketch I chose.....

......I love the different shapes and layers on this sketch and have created 2 cards with it.....one I tried to make more masculine by inking it up a bit and keeping the embellies less "frou frou" lol.

...the 3 cardstock colours are Bazzill and I've used 2 patterns from the Origins range. The image is an Elements Sticker from the range and edges have been inked up with Pine Cone Versa Colour Ink. Details were added with the Fiskars Upper Crest border punch.

The 2nd card is a touch more feminine....

....this time no inking and more scallops and pretty colours.

Both cards are made based on the following dimensions.....

*card base - 15cm x 10.5 cm  *first Bazzill layer - 14.8 cm x 10 cm  *Bazzill layer at top of card - 8.5 cm x 9cm  *Artisan shapes cut with the 2nd biggest Spellbinders Labels Eight Nestability.

I hope my cards will inspire you to dig into your supplies and make a special card for a special someone in your life. It will no doubt brighten their day no end:)

As I still had plenty of paper left over I wanted to do a layout based on Mels sketch from last week. The real challenge was to come up with my own colour background - behind the black lace I have used watercolour pencils in similar colours to papers and some white paint just smoothed across with my fingers randomly (can probably only see this on actual layout).

 

A little bit of inspiration

Hello Everyone, Peg here :-)

Well it's my turn to play, how exciting! School's back soon and we are probably all short on time so what better way to make scrapping quick and easy than with a sketch. I keep a note pad by my bedside (because some of my best ideas come just as I'm drifting off to sleep) in which I scribble layout ideas so this sketch has come from there. It uses 2 photos and can be very quick or much more dressy depending on your stlye and preferences.

I have used the fabulous KaiserCraft Rewind range shown at right, you can buy it from the shop here. It's a great range for boys of all ages. I particularly liked the stamps and inks. The inks have a beautiful chalky finish when dried which means that the grey will show up really well on dark cardstock, and the colours match the papers and embellishments perfectly. I will definitely be playing more with these!
